Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Tamahere Icepak fire cont'd
We join in thinking of our injured firemen and the
tragic loss of firefighter Derek Lovell, killed when he and
his men were engulfed in the exploding fireball on Saturday 5 April
2008 at Tamahere. The roll call of injured include: Senior firefighter Merv
Neil still in critical condition in the national burns unit at
Middlemore Hospital, Adrian Brown, Brian Halford, Alvan Walker
and Dennis Wells. David Beanland, husband of Dianne who
was a member of our Board for some time is also on the list.
David was in ICU but is now in a stable condition and we are told is
likely to be transferred to a ward shortly.
