GENERAL BUSINESS
- Family Day at the Zoo sponsored by Lions
Wonderful opportunity, big thanks to the Dinsdale Lions, Coca-Cola, Tip Top,
Trikiso Buses and Mainland Foods. 16th March, 10am - 2pm. Dianne and Julie
organising flyer to go out in conjunction with the camp flyer. Family Day is
the weekend after the camp.
- Licensing Book - Paul
Ted Anderson is the man that has done all the hard work regarding the
sponsorship and setting up the books publication with the other members of
this Book team. It has been suggested by Paul that he approach Ted and ask
if he would look into the possibility of WBS selling the licensing writes of
the book to Wendy Pye Ltd, with the Hope of it being published in many more
languages and being available to other countries all over the world. We
would hope to earn a royalty fee from each
copy printed.
Paul to contact Ted.
It was also discussed, the need to hire the services of a lawyer if we went
ahead with this.
Dianne to scan Copy of Copywrite from Wendy Pye ltd. E-mail to Paul so he
can forward to Ted. Action: Paul and Dianne
SCHOOL Donations for Books
We have decided as a group that the Education Officer Colleen should give 10
copies Keeping Safe in English to each school she visits, to offer them 10
copies in Maori if they want them but not to be given away unnessacarily. If
the School would like to purchase further copies we would like to receive a
donation of $2 copy. Colleen to purchase a receipt book and give the school
a Donation Receipt.
- Ask John Carlisle about Website Maintenance
It was decided that Paul will approach John and ask if he would be
interested in maintaining are Website due to his expertise in this area. The
committee approved a motion that if John was interested we donate him $30 of
petrol vouchers each month. Action: Paul
- Approach Auckland Burnsupport about their camp for Burn
Survivors only
This is a good idea for next year. They have their camp in January each
year.
It was decided that we bring this up again in our September meeting and we
approach Auckland closer to the time.
The thoughts of the committee at this time were that the Family camp we are
having this year will probably be our last and that we look to change in the
future. Further discussion required funding requirements etc.
Meeting closed at: 9.30pm.
Our next meeting will be held:
18th Feb 2002, 7.15pm
Venue: 29 Thackeray St
