Membership is open to all Burn Survivors and their immediate caregivers their family and whanau.  Participation in our various activities is dependant upon being a financial member.  Our fees assist us to provide low cost activities for our members.

Steps to Membership as a Burn Survivor and/or Caregiver:  

To become a member of WBS you will need to do a couple of small things.  Below are the steps involved.

• Obtaining a Sponsor: To join Waikato Burn Support as a member you will need to obtain a sponsor who will recommend you for membership.  We are very keen for new members to join so don't hesitate to speak to a member of the committee or someone you already know who is a member and ask them about sponsoring you.

• Annual Membership Fee: Accompanying the Application is an Annual Fee of $20 for both families and individuals.  Fees not only allow us to provide opportunities for our members to enjoy activities at heavily subsidised rates, but also allows us as a group to assist those who are still undergoing initial hospitalisation and offer them and their caregivers counseling, support and information during the most traumatic and crucial time.

Attending Activities: Once you have become a member you are eligible to attend our various activities such as Family Days, our Annual Burn Camps and so on.
